Job Description

Working in the Application Support team, where you will provide high quality operational and technical application and systems support to our customers and our internal business functions whilst meeting all Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators. The provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. Support typically includes investigation and resolution of issues and may also include performance monitoring. Issues may be resolved by providing advice or training to users, by devising corrections (permanent or temporary) for faults, making general or site-specific modifications, updating documentation, manipulating data, or defining enhancements Support often involves close collaboration with the system's developers and/or with colleagues specialising in different areas, such as Database administration or Network support. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure adherence to Close Brothers Security Policy. * Maintaining system stability and high availability. * To use system and software knowledge to resolve issues. * Adhere to issue priority effectively, and escalate where necessary. * Ensure progression of issues within a defined strategy and context. * Demonstrate ownership and take the lead on complex issues. * Consult with colleagues on solutions and solving complex problems. * Complete daily checks following defined procedures. * Escalate issues to management where appropriate. * Application monitoring, performance and capacity tuning as directed from time to time. * Providing 2nd-3rd line application support on complex internally and externally developed applications.
