Job Description
Role Overview The role of Senior Compliance Officer - Monitoring is part of the Central Compliance team, which is responsible for the maintenance of company compliance policies, the compliance monitoring programme and the compliance manual. The job role will include the following activities: * Lead on the execution of the compliance monitoring programme * Review and enhance Compliance Monitoring processes * Develop Compliance Monitoring review plans, in liaison with line manager * Assist with the compliance monitoring risk assessment and annual review processes. * Take responsibility for the production of Compliance Monitoring MI for senior level committees. * Manage the process for monitoring and tracking of remedial actions derived from Compliance Monitoring activity * Review adequacy of evidence provided to close agreed Compliance Monitoring actions * Assist colleagues in the wider Central Compliance team where required with the completion of various Central Compliance tasks such as PA Dealing, Gifts and Hospitality and Outside Business Interest approvals * Ad hoc support to line manager and compliance colleagues. * Assist with business queries on compliance-related matters. * Act as Compliance representative on business projects as required. * Represent Compliance at business committees where required Regulatory Responsibilities: * Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management at all times * Maintain awareness of Regulatory developments which may have an impact on the business * Identify any issues which may adversely affect the business, escalate as and when necessary * Develop a solid working knowledge of all FCA regulated product ranges, FCA Principles and Rules.
