Job Description

Everything we do for our Older People's Service is "Rooted in Love" our values of Integrity, compassion, passion, respect; boldness and accountability are at the heart of all we do. Experience is not essential to this role; we are looking for employees who have a passion for caring, we will provide you with full training and unlike other care homes provide our employees with a minimum of two hours per week of dedicated development and one to one time with residents. Lyndon Residential Home, situated in Sandridge village just outside St Albans, provides residential care for elderly people. Originally built as a Victorian vicarage, the house has been extended and modernised to provide en-suite rooms throughout its accommodation which is situated over two floors and made accessible by passenger lifts. Trained staff provide 24 hour care and each room has a call bell to make sure residents feel safe. Lyndon Home is set in its own extensive grounds which have mature planting, flower beds and a lawn. Pathways have been furnished with plenty of seating and lead to the rose arbour, orchard and fountain. We recognise that everyone is at a different stage of their care journey, and work with each resident to draw up an individualised care plan that best meets their needs . As a Care Assistant you will play a key role in delivering a high quality programme of support which promotes resident choice and control, whilst delivering personal care and promoting independence.
