Success at reducing readmission rates is our strength. Would you like to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary team as an RMN staff nurse? The role is a full time rotational post which includes working a variety of shifts for which enhancements are paid including evenings, weekends, public holidays and nights across a 7 day week. You would be based in our 13 bedded rehabilitation adult inpatient unit in Bournemouth which is close to shops, the beach and public transport routes. You will be working collaboratively with patients to support person-centred care which promotes their understanding of different aspects of their mental and physical health, developing coping strategies, further stability, independent living and community skills. Nightingale Court is a step down unit which also promotes patients undertaking vocational and educational activities in the community whilst working alongside the Standards within the Triangle of Care to further enhance patients' recovery. Your role will include actively supporting patients engaging in therapeutic activity which extends into the community. An extensive review of Dorset's rehabilitation service for adults with severe mental illness has taken place with new developments planned for the future. The proposed transition and implementation of the Community Rehabilitation Team is not expected to take place for 12 months. We will support your development with training to enhance your knowledge, experience, clinical and leadership skills. You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
