We are looking for a Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics to join our team based in London. As a Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics you will lead in the development, documentation and embedding of analytic methodologies, tools and processes to enable stress testing, economic forecasting, Cost-of-Risk budget planning and risk appetite setting. The Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics will be accountable for bank-wide programs whilst working closely with the CRO and Head of Risk & Portfolio Analytics to support and drive the divisional strategy and frameworks. Responsibilities Strategic * Establish effective working relationship with stakeholders and colleagues across the bank including Group Risk, Finance, IT and divisions * Develop and continuously enhance analytic methodologies, tools and processes in supporting capital requirement assessment (ICAAP/Stress Test), CoR planning and RWA optimization * Responsible for economic forecast house-views and derived economic scenarios driving IFRS9 impairment and other business use * Develop predictive capabilities on portfolio performance & its dynamic trend * Promote CGS risk rating embedding into business processes * Develop standards and guidelines on risk-based pricing and credit score cut-off * Responsible for IFRS9 impairment forecast modelling and process * Analytics to enable risk appetite and trigger setting * Due diligence of all Portfolio Analytics * Define and contribute to model risk management framework improvement and embedding * Coaching and train divisions as required using the exchange of complex analytical data Operational * Conceptualizing analytic solutions to resolve business challenges or needs * Define and build model and SAS coding * Handling large datasets from multiple sources including 3rd party providers * Understand bank's data systems and structures, identify opportunities to promote embedding of CGS into business strategies and processes. * Standardize SQL/ Excel based models for ease of execution and governance * Undertake portfolio deep dive analysis to support regulatory requirements and due diligence * Oversight of in-house model building & validation as required * Ensure all models are fully documented and conform to development standards Relationships * Work closely with group functions and divisions stakeholders to establish constructive and effective relations * Work with data/system team to fully understand bank's data systems * Provide technical support / knowledge transfer to other analysts and divisions as required * Liaise with the credit policy team to link modelling activity to policy * Collaboration with peers and other analytic colleagues and share best practice * Support line manager on general team management matters Knowledge Gathering * Establish good understanding of financial services and risk management * Have solid and broad knowledge of credit scoring and risk rating, impairment forecast, econometric modelling, IRB models and capital requirement methodologies * Become portfolio analytics and modelling expert, able to conceptualize business requirement into analytic/model solutions * Understand data availability, structure, definitions and formats. Knowledge of how to make it analytically valuable * Identify any data quality issues that may affect modelling * Excellent project management know-how The Person * Degree educated in a strong quantitative discipline such as Applied Mathematics / Statistics, Econometrics, Operational Research or Engineering etc. * Circa 10 years' experience of modelling in financial services or equivalent * Strong analytical background with advanced modelling experience in regression, econometrics, time series, simulations and optimization. * Substantial experience in credit risk and capital adequacy * Good knowledge of credit scorecards and IRB models. First hand scorecard/IRB modelling experience will be an advantage. * Understanding of the regulatory environment affecting financial service companies * Experience of working with Senior stakeholders * Strong SAS skills * Strong Microsoft skills in Excel, Word and Power point.
