You'll support people with learning disabilities and autism at home and in the community to live life more freely. You don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training. You will join our friendly team to support a number of young people with learning disaiblities in their own homes, providing a flexible, mixture of support in the Padstow and Newquay Areas. This support covers all the needs of a young person that has moved out of the family home and living life as an adult, enjoying everything that running their first home brings. You will provide support to enable each individual to increase their independence; there's lots of variety. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key. In this fun and role, we need a mixture of support workers who can support in different ways, with a range of hobbies across the team. Adding to this, there are activities they all enjoy - sporting activities, walking, swimming, dog walking, gym, gardening, meeting up with friends. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights.
