Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for self-motivated people to join our support team in mid-Cornwall as relief Support Workers. The successful candidates will be based in Newquay delivering support to people who have complex needs including mental ill-health and substance misuse. You will support people in their own homes or in the community on a 121 basis enabling them to live independently, access services, develop life skills and fulfil their goals and aspirations. You will need to work flexibly and responsively in ever-changing environments, be resilient and motivated and able to adapt to communicate appropriately and with clients, colleagues and external agencies. We are looking for people who have a positive and friendly attitude, who are solution focused and take a person centred approach to support. These roles will predominantly involve lone-working but you will be part of a bigger support team. This role is being offered on a relief worker basis working an anticipated minimum of 15 hours per week which may include weekend working. Bandwidth hours will be 8am to 9pm. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
