News UK is also home to Wireless, a leading UK and Irish media company boasting independent local and national radio stations. **The Role:** The Sun is seeking a sports video producer to join its video team. It is the responsibility of the video department to consistently source the best, traffic-driving, breaking news and sports footage from around the world and to produce end-to-end original content for The Sun's digital platforms. **What we're looking at from you:** The successful candidate will possess: + Outstanding video editing skills with expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro. + Knowledge of After Effects is an advantage but not essential. + The ability to film to a high standard with a variety of cameras would also be an obvious advantage. + They will have a huge passion for Sport - particularly football and a demonstrable wealth of knowledge. + They will have experience of working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment - ideally at a national level - and delivering to tight deadlines. + They will be adept at sourcing new and viral videos and organising all elements of production shoots both in-studio and on location as well as writing briefs for videographers and journalists. + They will be full of ideas on how best to produce original content for editorial and social media consumption and have a proven track record of production. + They will be capable of writing scripts in The Sun style and will have an understanding of what it means to let the footage tell the story. + An understanding of The Sun's audience and the kinds of stories that drive traffic is essential. + Part of the role will involve dealing with agencies who sell video content and they will need a thorough understanding of sports rights and copyright. + They will also be expected to regularly deal with other departments in the business not only in digital but also in the traditional sections of the newspaper. + The role requires working according to events in the sporting calendar so the successful candidate will be expected to work some unsociable hours.
