Skimlinks is the world's leading content-to-commerce platform, helping publishers monetize their commerce-related content, and retailers & brands find people who want to buy their products. Skimlinks helps publishers earn an incremental revenue stream by automating the process of earning through affiliate marketing. By aggregating 24,000 merchant affiliate programs from over 55 affiliate networks, 4.5 million websites are able to earn commissions and gain an understanding of the shopping behaviours of their audience. Clients include Conde Nast, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Buzzfeed and Refinery29. Skimlinks then uses the data collected from this affiliate service to create the world's largest data co-op focused on shopping intent data. With data from 1 billion shoppers on the products they are reading about, clicking on, and buying, Skimlinks helps retailers and brands target and personalize based on these shopping behaviours. This means we have one of the worlds largest sets of AI training data around shopping intent, which attracts some of the greatest people to work at Skimlinks and build something truly great and impactful. We are actively seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Front end to join our team in London. Requirements Our front end team is responsible for our customer facing interfaces (Publisher Hub), our Chrome extension (Editor Tool) and our high performance javascript deployed on some of the largest Publishers in the world. In our tech stack we are using the latest technologies such as React, Next.js, Docker, Kubernetes... all hosted in Google Cloud. You will be: - Working on features that our customers love with our design and product teams - Thinking about how can we make things simpler, more intuitive and easier for our customers - Focusing on creating elegant, easy to maintain, well tested code - Mentoring our more junior team members - Working alongside highly capable engineers who really enjoy working together and including and supporting new team members in their teams. - Working on products that are widely used and help the publishing industry generate sustainable revenue - Working on a codebase that's virtually tech-debt free (...and thats RARE) About You: - High degree of fluency in JavaScript, with knowledge of modern techniques as well as core JS concepts. - Deep understanding of React , Redux, Node.JS - Experience integrating with cloud services, and RESTful APIs. - Modern frontend build tooling (Webpack/Parcel, ESlint, Cypress, JestBabel, NPM/Yarn) - Proficiency in frontend markup and styling - Good knowledge of CSS and it's pre-processors (we use SASS). Interested in writing high quality, robust code involving approaches such as unit testing, code coverage and static code analysis. - Have a product mindset: At Skimlinks we truly believe that feature ideas can come from anywhere - You have some form of mentoring experience (either formal management or informal mentoring).
