Team Leader - Older People's Services (35 hours per week , Permanent)

Job Summary: We are a 40 bed residential care home in Hassocks West Sussex for older people, some of whom have dementia. The role of Team Leader is to help each service user enjoy the highest possible quality of life within the centre surrounded by love, friendship and support within a Christian environment. You will ensure the centre delivers excellent person centred care. In addition you will be expected to provide leadership to the care staff within the team, supervise staff in a professional manner and lead review meetings as and when required. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage staff in a professional manner Lead and manage shift. Provide care for service users who attend Records observe and monitor conditions of service users. Develop your knowledge and practice. Undertake other duties as deemed necessary to ensure smooth running of operations and fulfil The Salvation Army mission. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Good communication skills Leadership skills Support to service users and families who attend the centre Good knowledge of the social care systems and processes Appropriate Social Care Qualification achieved equivalent to or working towards Level 3 Diploma/SVQ 3 in Care Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS Check.
