We have vacancies at our two Edinburgh Care Homes: Eagle Lodge Care Home, 488 Ferry Road, Edinburgh, EH5 2DL Davidson House Care Home, 266 Colinton Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1DT Hours: 35 hours per week Do you want to work in a Care Home with a difference? Everything we do in our Older People's Service is "Rooted in Love" - our values of integrity, compassion, passion, respect; boldness and accountability are at the heart of all we do. We provide care to 35 older people, some with dementia, who can no longer live independently. All staff play a central role in creating a positive culture where residents' rights are promoted, ensuring they are active participants in care decisions. Families also work with staff to ensure care is best tailored to the needs of their loved ones. Daily, residents can take part in meaningful activities with the purpose of enhancing quality of life and maintaining physical and mental well-being. Activities are designed to be creative and to stimulate thinking or memory, such as music, art, flower-arranging, chair exercise and walking. Other tasks support everyday living - folding washing and setting tables. Experience is not essential to this role; we are looking for employees who have a passion For caring, - this could be either through previous roles in social care or your life experience. We will provide you with full training and a minimum of two hours per week for dedicated one to one time with a resident and your personal development. As a Care Assistant you will play a key role in helping each resident to enjoy the highest possible quality of life by providing personal care, promoting their independence and supporting them to take part in a wide range of activities.
