Staff Nurse - Surgical Wards Staff Nurse | Surgical Day Care | Band 5 equivalent | Norwich | Days only - Flexible hours with occasional Saturdays Spire Norwich Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a qualified nurse to join our small, fast paced surgical day care team, working a shift pattern of days only. We offer excellent opportunities for development with our onsite Clinical Educator and a variety of fully funded courses available. Our facilities are excellent and the hospital is staffed by a valued team of highly skilled professionals. We have modern Theatre suites, a state of the art Outpatient service and 2 wards, comprising of 70 beds, covering a range of specialities including Surgery, Daycare and HDU, which provides a dynamic and stimulating environment for our highly motivated team. Duties and responsibilities * Delivering excellent patient care to surgical patients on a 19 bedded day case unit * Admitting patients prior to surgical procedures * Take the patient through their full hospital stay - from admittance to release * Discharge planning Who we're looking for * Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions * Previous experience within a surgical, recovery or day care setting * Flexibility is essential * Phlebotomy and cannulation skills would be an advantage, however training will be given.
