Job Description

Job Title: 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer Department: Technical Services Contract Type: Permanent Location: London (City/Shoreditch) Job Role Our client is looking for an experienced 3rd line engineer to join the Technical Service team to provide 3rd line escalation support for network infrastructure services both on the Client owned MPLS network as well as our customer on-premises deployments. As part of the role 20% - 30% of your time will be utilised in assisting in delivering projects to new and existing customers working alongside the Enterprise Architecture team and Project Management team. As an MSP the scope of works is dependent on client requirements, so this role is diverse in the type or technologies being utilised to resolve customer issues and demands. You will be required at points to attend customer sites in order to troubleshoot support issues as well as delivering projects. In addition to support and projects a degree of knowledge sharing is expected with other team members and the 2nd line teams in order to improve customer fault resolution as well as working with the EA teams to identify opportunities for customer improvements to mitigate reoccurring faults. Key Responsibilities > Excellent Client facing skills, able to manage difficult or potentially stressful outage situations > Ability to multitask and handle multiple assignments, simultaneously > Extensive hands on experience in enterprise class environments across various technology solutions > Experience in rolling out and delivering projects based on Low Level design documents > Ability to work as part of a team > Form part of the out of hours on-call rota team responsible for fault diagnosis and fault logging > Ensure adherence to ITIL principles > Ensure all incidents and service requests meet assigned SLA's. > Maintain and promote good customer service culture at all times Requirements Skills and Experience Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate the following key skills. > Should be open to frequent business travel > Excellent communication skills and self-driven person > Able to work as part of a team and where required on your own to deliver projects to agreed timelines > Experience in troubleshooting Cisco based networking topologies including but not limited to, Catalyst, Nexus (2K, 5K, 9K), ISR Routers > Experience in managing and configuring security services including but not limited to, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls > In depth understanding of network routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF including route filtering and route redistribution > Proven knowledge of troubleshooting Quality of Service across various hardware including routers and switches. > Experience in Cisco Wireless technology including Physical and Virtual WLC including Flexconnect and advanced security such as EAP-TLS The following skills are desirable but not essential: > MPLS technologies > Multi-tenancy-based security architecture > F5 LTM and GTM functions and deployments Qualifications Candidate should have the following certifications. > Cisco CCNP in Routing and Switching > Cisco CCDP Following Certifications desirable but not essential > Fortigate or Palo Alto certifications > F5 Certifications > Any VMWare Certifications Benefits * Basic salary negotiable (c45,000.00 depending on experience) * Corporate benefits package * Life assurance * Private healthcare (after probation) * Mobile phone+laptop * Statutory pension Job Title: 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer Department: Technical Services Contract Type: Permanent Location: London (City/Shoreditch) To apply, contact 02080494400 or email your CV to hello@agilesearch.co.uk
