Through PRIME, Clifford Chance is committed to ensuring that anyone who wants to enter the world of law has an equal chance to do so, regardless of their background. Our classroom based PRIME placement is an introduction to a career in law and is open to students from state schools who have the academic potential to be a successful lawyer but may not necessarily have opportunities to access the legal profession. You'll spend four days at our Canary Wharf headquarters, where you'll meet and interact with professionals from every level of our business - from trainees and recently qualified associates to partners and recruitment specialists. And it does not just end there. We will keep in regular contact with you following the scheme, you will have access to mentors at the firm and you will be invited back for events and a reunion before you head off for university. Our PRIME participants should: * attend a state (non-fee paying) school * be in Year 12-13 (England and Wales); S5-6 (Scotland); or Lower or Upper Sixth (Northern Ireland) * either be the first generation in your immediate family to attend university, or be (or have been) eligible for free school meals Once you have submitted your application you will receive a link to complete a Watson Glaser critical reasoning test (within 2 working days). You will have 5 working days to complete this test (reducing to 2 days if you apply the week before the deadline). No-one will be rejected at this stage - your score will be taken into consideration alongside the review of your application. Decisions will be made after the application deadline which is 7th July and we will let you know whether you have been offered a place on PRIME by 21st July.
