Consultant Psychiatrist for General Adult Psychiatry in PICU Salary: 79,860 - 107,668 per annum Would you like to work in a CQC 'Outstanding' rated Mental Health and Learning Disability Trust? We are seeking to appoint a full-time Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at the Carleton Clinic on the outskirts of Carlisle. The position has become available due to the retirement of our current consultant. Rowanwood is a 10-bed mixed-sex PICU unit, which will shortly be undergoing major re-development to provide state of the art facilities for patients and staff. The successful applicant will work alongside a nurse consultant who is training as an Approved Clinician, as well as being supported by a consultant clinical psychologist, full-time associate specialist and junior medical staff. Four other mental health in-patient units are within the Carleton Clinic providing support to each other. There is a well-established post-graduate teaching program on site and all consultants meet regularly at the CPD peer forum. Applicants should be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT. Candidates should be suitably qualified, including eligibility for Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
