If you share these values and have transferable skill, we want to meet you! HMP Wayland is a Category C male training prison, located near the village of Griston in Norfolk. The site is built up of 13 residential units and has a full healthcare unit. HMP Wayland is 24 miles from the main city of Norwich and 15 miles from Thetford. You will work closely with the existing primary care team, pharmacy team and on site pharmacist in the delivery of a high quality pharmacy service to the prison population. You can expect to provide medicines management services to assist and support the primary care team to deliver effective clinical intervention and provide pharmacy related information to patients, prison officers and other healthcare professionals ensuring that the level of advice given is appropriate. The role requires the ability to administer medication and manage processes whereby patients are supported to manage their own in-possession medications effectively. The Pharmacy Technician will also assist with the implementation and development of pharmacy support to all wings in the prison which includes, where appropriate, counselling of patients on the correct use of medication. In return for your hard work you will... Receive an annual salary of up to 27,000 per annum depending on experience; free uniform, free mandatory training, indemnity cover, CPD and re-validation support. The post will involve shift work over a 7-day period to include weekends and Bank holidays. We offer 25-days annual leave plus 8 public holidays (pro-rata for part time) and contributory pension scheme.
