It has an operational capacity of 703 offenders who are received from other prisons and rarely direct from court. The prison is operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service. HMP Featherstone were finalists in the Health Service Journal's (HSJ) Patient Safety Awards for Patient Safety Team of the Year! In return for your hard work you will... Receive an annual salary of up to 39,000 depending on experience. Other benefits include cycle to work scheme, plus training and clinical development opportunities. What do we need from you so you can do the job? As lead Substance Misuse Nurse you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whilst being a support and resource to junior members of staff. You must ensure that comprehensive assessments are carried out, as well as ensuring the the team initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information and support group work delivery. You will liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions and regularly be required to administer opiate replacement therapies. You must have experience of and commitment to recovery and a person centered approach, and for this role it is vital you have a current registration with the nursing and midwifery council.
