Job Description

We currently have a full time vacancy for a Pharmacy Band 3 Senior Assistant Technical Officer in theDistribution section of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will join the team of dedicated Distribution staff. You will participate in the day to day service provided with additional responsibilities to act as support to the Band 6 Lead Technician Contracted Services. Ideally you will hold NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services, though there will be provision for you to be 'working towards' this qualification for those with experience but no qualification. The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day supply of drugs to wards, clinics and the assembly of orders for dispatch to external customers. To use the pharmacy stock control system to maintain stock levels both within the department and throughout the Trust. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount. To work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Any successful applicant for the above post will be expected to participate in flexible working which will include weekend, late duty and bank holiday rotas.
