Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Delivery Manager to work on a 5 months fixed term contract. The contract will start on the 3rd August and run through to the end of our busiest time of year (Christmas) 31st December 2020. About the role: As an agile member of team and working out of a number of sub depots, the Delivery Manager will work alongside the Field Team and support them with the recruitment of new Couriers in to the business. This will include sourcing candidates, telephone screening, conducting face to face interviews and for their onboarding. You will also be responsible for coaching/training Couriers on how to use the Hermes hand held terminal, ensure they are being compliant and that they provide an excellent customer service. Requirements: * Previous experience of working as a Courier would be beneficial, although this is not essential * A good geographical knowledge of the local area * An understanding that a role of this type is not your average 9-5 and will involve working on a weekend on a rotation basis * Availability to work across the Christmas period * Previous experience of training or recruiting people is required and both would be advantageous.
