Description About this role Team Overview: Platform Client Engagement (PCE) is part of the Platform Services group within the Aladdin Product Group which is responsible for maintaining system performance and uptime for Aladdin and other critical applications used at BlackRock. Additionally, Platform Services supports over 200 external organizations which leverage Aladdin through BlackRock Solutions (BRS) offerings. PCE plays an essential role in integrating cross-functional teams in support of Aladdin, providing technical support for Aladdin customers, leading the technical implementation of Aladdin at new BRS clients and acting as the internal liaison for BRS Client Relationship Mangers. Additionally, Platform Services owns critical governance functions such as Software and Infrastructure Change Management, as well as leading strategic initiatives through its Project Management function. PCE is a fast-paced team operating in a dynamic environment and provides the right individual with challenging work and an opportunity to lead cross functional groups in achieving a wide variety of objectives. Job Purpose / Responsibilities: The role is to work across functions within PCE to provide leadership and guidance to accomplish the team's strategic goals. In this role, PCE develops strong working relationships with BRS relationship managers and teams across the Aladdin Product Group. BRS Aladdin Client Support and Project Management * Provide level two troubleshooting and escalation of client technical issues. * Respond to procedural and information requests * Respond to client due diligence requests * Ensure new versions of Operating systems, and third-party software remains compatible with Aladdin. * Manage the Desktop Strategy initiatives. * Manage the technology implementation for new BRS Aladdin clients. * Manage client-initiated technology projects. * Manage client-facing projects such as network upgrades, hardware upgrades * Implement technically challenging changes affecting Aladdin clients * Plan, manage and execute annual Disaster Recovery tests for Aladdin clients * Ownership, ongoing review of Disaster Recovery processes A successful candidate is expected to possess and demonstrate the following: Essential Skills: * Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to integrate multiple technical disciplines in achieving a stated objective. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. * Highly motivated individual who takes full ownership of responsibilities and is a dependable teammate. * Adaptive individual, able to multi-task and adjust in a fast moving environment. * Solid technical acumen, including desktop technology, basic TCP/IP networking and basic SDLC understanding. * Results-oriented professional committed to personally driving objectives to completion, maintaining flexibility where an adjusted work schedule and/or evening/weekend work are required. * 3+ years of experience in a production support or client services role, financial services a plus. * Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree. Desirable Skills: * A good understanding of Aladdin * Proven experience of troubleshooting and resolving Aladdin technical issues * Experience in executive technical support. * Experience in technical troubleshooting in relevant technologies. * Strong technical writing skills or previous documentation experience and familiarity with Confluence. * Scripting or basic development language skills to automate common tasks.
