Overview

SmartChoice Solutions are currently working with an IT consultancy based in Edinburgh, with a global reach and who are experts within digital transformation. They encourage outside-of-the-box thinking, and want a team of people willing to challenge the status quo. This is a fantastic opportunity to join them on a permanent basis - and to contribute to the next stage of their journey, as they increase their footprint in multiple locations across Europe and North America. This is a chance to join a (genuinely) Agile team of people focused on delivering innovation and value to their myriad of customers. You will be supporting clients with helping them reach their goals - in terms of delivering better solutions for their customers, improving their time to production and will not be pigeon-holed into one particular area or specialism. You will have skills/experience in the following: - First-hand experience with modern engineering tech and practices - Great understanding of distributed systems and the challenges they can possess - Experience working within and promoting a DevOps culture - Experience in CI/CD, containerisation, automation, IaaS, Infrastructure as Code etc. - Deep understanding of API/microservices architecture and migrating monolithic systems to the cloud - Skilled in at least one prominent server-side language, i.e. Python, Java, JS (Node), Kotlin - preferences for polygots What you will get in return: - Professional training - Career progression opportunities - Autonomy and focus on value - Events, seminars, other professional opportunities THIS IS A CONSULTANCY ROLE.
