As Facilities and Maintenance Team Engineer, you will maintain the building security of all Wartsila Defence Solutions Ltd (WDSL) UK facilities as well as safeguarding the availability of facilities, equipment and machinery to maximise productive to the business. You will implement and execute current HSE legislation including certification, monitoring and inspection in areas of responsibility. You will also assist in improving and maintaining the availability of all machinery, plant and infrastructure at all WDSL (UK) facilities through a programme of Preventative Maintenance, and the supervision of activities and projects to increase " Mean Time Between Failures" and reduce "Mean Time To Repair". You will be employed on a permanent basis, based out of our site in Havant, Hampshire United Kingdom and will work on the day shift (7am-3pm) Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to work outside of these core hours and over weekends is essential. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? * Work within the facilities / maintenance department to drive improvements to reduce machine breakdowns and thereby improve schedule adherence and on-time delivery * Responsible to the Team Leader for maintaining, improving and reporting of an appropriate suite of industrial recognised 'Key Performance Indicators' * Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all service and maintenance records including the Maintenance/Facilities SAP Modules * Provide hands-on experience of Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic and Pneumatic plant and machinery breakdowns/faults * Day to day monitoring of performance, development, training and succession planning of maintenance team * Manage the network of subcontractors and suppliers on site to ensure safety and reliability is high * Day-to-day liaison with Team Leader and communication with other departments * Assist in managing Projects to safely deliver CAPEX and improvement projects to agreed scope, schedule and budget. * Support Team Leader in all external audits relating to the business e.g. Emission and Discharge Permits, Environment Agency, Landlord and third party What do we expect from you? * Extensive experiencein a maintenance / facilities management environment * Strong background in preventative (and reactive) manual and CNC machining centre * Hands on experience of Hydraulics /Pneumatics /Electrics /Mechanical is advantageous * Proven team supervision skills * PC literate (Microsoft) and complex maintenance programmes. SAP experience is desirable * Flexibility to work outside of core day shift hours is essential (e.g. evenings and weekends) * The job is offered subject to successfully obtaining security clearance.
