Job Description
The Consumer Products division of this local Hasbro entity provides services for the licensing business of Hasbro International Inc. (HII). We are currently recruiting for this position, based in the local office in this market. Position: Manager Publishing Location: UK Position: FTC [8 months] As Publishing Manager, you will assist in developing and leading relationships with designated publishing licensees that will produce books, (trade, comic books, magazines, digital, etc.) utilizing Hasbro-owned intellectual property to generate revenue and expand brand awareness. You will also contribute to the creation and review of original stories and new intellectual properties. A day in the life as a Manager for Publishing... + Optimize Hasbro's publishing business in the territory by developing designated accounts and prospecting new potential licensees + With Global Publishing Team, set strategy and vision for publishing (print & digital) + Ensure execution of all contractual obligations, product & packaging development, awareness of all brand information and development, ongoing support and direction to license through frequent written, oral and on-site communication + Work with Product Development Specialists to ensure development of compelling and quality products while maintaining a timeline for creative approvals + Support our publishers by securing and disseminating creative assets for product and marketing needs of publishing partners + Coordinate with publishers and Hasbro Finance department to ensure timely delivery of financial documents and royalty payments + Collaborate with local Licensing and Brand teams to build strong marketing plans in order to deliver consistent consumer/retail execution and optimize the publishing business. + Keep current with industry trends and developments + Travel to key accounts and trade shows within the territory & internationally What you'll bring... + Bachelors degree or equivalent in English, Marketing, Media/Communications or related field. + Demonstrable experience in publishing, preferably licensed publishing. + Subsidiary rights background or familiarity is a strong plus! + Experience working with creative staff to develop new product ideas. + Retail knowledge helpful (e.g. mass, trade bookstores, grocery, drug, specialty). + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong presentation and negotiation capabilities. + Creative and strategic thinker. + Ability to influence and facilitate agreement between internal and external business partners, including creative staff, brand leaders, and approval coordinators.
