Job Details Title: Senior QA Engineer Location: Hanger Lane Salary: Competitive ROLE PURPOSE The Senior QA Engineer is directly responsible for the quality and reliability of software applications/systems for Kantar's biggest operation in broadcasting measurement. This opportunity offers the successful individual, responsibility for the administration and support of operational guidelines, standards, processes and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Development of detailed test cases based on design and requirements documents. * Perform functional and regression tests for new and existing functionality. * Document, reporting and tracking of software defects. * Troubleshooting and debugging issues raised by scrum teams. * Responsible for the quality, performance, integrity, security and documentation of software products. * Responsible for setting up test environments and interfaces with other key systems. * Responsible for installing software and related products to support release/production environments. * Record keeping, documentation, and reports quality, performance and compliance. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.. * BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience * 3-5 years of experience testing software applications and systems * Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber and Selenium, and creating automated test frameworks from scratch * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical staff * Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent design and programming skills, preferably in Python (will also consider Java) * Good knowledge of test methodologies and complimentary tools * Experience with writing and executing Test Cases * Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum environment * Experience writing and executing Test Cases * Experience of working with a DevOps tool set, e.g. Jenkins (we use Azure Pipelines) * Experience of working with Unix shell commands and shell scripts * Experience with Linux, Windows, SQL * Automation experience using Python, Sellenium or other frameworks * ISTQB Certified or willing to work towards DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE * Experience working with API test tools such as ReadyAPI or Postman, * Azure DevOps functionality such as Boards, Test Plans and Pipelines, * GIT source control, * Testing batch processing software, * Hadoop technologies such as Hive, HDFS and Spark, * Working in the broadcast sector, or digital audience measurement, * Working with offshore teams Location London, WestgateUnited Kingdom Kantar Rewards Statement At Kantar we have an integrated way of rewarding our people based around a simple, clear and consistent set of principles.
