Job Description

Global Relay requires an experienced Senior Architect to assume architectural ownership of specific components and features of Global Relay's enterprise messaging application, "Message". You will work closely with the Principal Architect, Development Leads and Product Managers to architect, design and facilitate delivery of new products and features as well as providing technical oversight and guidance for development teams. Your Job: + Own all architectural design facets for all components in a specific product area + Develop and maintain a systems architecture that will address existing and emergent business needs + Understand the architectural ramifications of all user stories and requirements + Responsible for the technology and architecture used by the all teams in the product area + Review and support all the technology, architecture decisions and detail designs made by the teams in the designated product area. As appropriate, delegate detailed architecture and design activities to the Component Architects + Ensure that any architectural decisions are implemented by the team are true to the design + Lead presentations to socialize and validate proposed architectures with other product areas and business units + Maintain alignment between product area architecture, architecture of other product areas and overall enterprise architecture + Act as the primary negotiator and point of contact for all sub-teams in the product area with the Architecture team as a whole + Provide critical thinking and technical leadership from idea creation through to execution About You: + 5 + years of experience in a senior architecture role for an enterprise scale application + 5+ years of Java and JavaScript development experience, building highly scalable applications and services in an agile environment + Experience architecting micro-services for deployment via Kubernetes + Proven ability and track record in clearly aligning technical solutions with explicit business objectives + Experience in logically and rationally documenting processes and models using diagrams and presenting findings to various levels of senior management + Strong experience in interacting and collaborating with various levels within an organization + Ability and energy to thrive in a fast moving, fast growth entrepreneurial environment, have a 'solution based' mind set, and be proactive in driving improvements to processes and systems + Experience in one or more of the following areas: + API architecture and development + WebRTC + Distributed systems at scale + Consistency models, + Big data, data lakes / data warehousing / BI + Asynchronous messaging + Security methodologies and technologies + Data integrity and reconciliation Global Relay is the leading provider of cloud-based archiving, supervision, eDiscovery, and analytics to the global financial sector.
