As an IT Developer Analyst, your core role will be focused on the design, development, support and reporting on our BI solution, COGNOS. You'll also be part of a small team that manages other business critical systems, which will offer you the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects across the business, allowing you to develop new skills using .Net and web technologies. What you'll do: manage the ongoing development and maintenance of Nisa's Cognos BI platform, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical issues translate business requirements into functional specifications create and maintain Nisa's report and extracts collection identify program errors and opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions make sure that all developed code meets business and performance requirements be responsible for the creation and maintenance of all user documentation design, develop, and install enhancements and upgrades work closely and collaboratively with the wider team to assist and support with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing coach the team and promote a culture of quality assurance best practice This role would suit people who have: demonstrable experience of using Cognos BI products (preferably version 11), including creation of Cognos frameworks, cubes and general report writing report development experience, with extensive knowledge of SQL, including Oracle 11g, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Reports superb communication skills, with a talent for building positive relationships and working collaboratively outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment a background in system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies knowledge or experience of developing desktop applications with C#.Net or web development experience (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery) would be highly desirable, but not essential The Co-op resourcing team supports Nisa recruitment as part of our ongoing partnership.
