Your new role We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team based in Doncaster. The role takes responsibility for Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Actions on their designated fleets. The Reliability Engineer will also be responsible for leading and controlling FRACAS related activities for their designated fleets and ensuring effective resolution and improvement of Hitachi's products. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables: * Carry out reliability analysis and reporting for designated fleets. * Own the fleet reliability growth plan for designated fleet. * Responsible for prioritising FRACAS items in accordance their criticality. * Management and implement the FRACAS Processes and Procedures. * Facilitate FRACAS board meetings. * Generate FRACAS Management Plan, ensuring it is harmonised with all departments and is compliant with Quality/ISO certifications and audits. * Provide report summaries of incidents counts, and providing data used for reliability and quality metrics. * Analyse submitted defect reports for completeness and sufficient information * Ensure any items flagged as applicable for FRACAS process to be tracked and included on FRACAS register * To be aware of, actively promote, and implement Hitachi's ethos, culture and values. * To be involved in Hitachi Rail Limited's staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures. * To adhere to the Hitachi Rail Limited's Equal Opportunities Policy. * To comply with and implement Hitachi Rail Limited's Health and Safety policy. * To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required * Successful fulfilment of this role will be achieved through effective co-ordination with all key internal teams, located in the UK, Italy and Japan, at HRE's Head Office and based at the manufacturing factory, delivery depots, and customers. About You Essential Requirements * Previous experience and a proven track-record of successful FRACAS management in the rail industry or similar. * Sound understanding: * FRACAS, Cost Benefit Analysis, FTA methodologies. * Concepts for compliance with safety and reliability requirements. * Previous experience in reliability reporting and reliability growth models. * The ability to provide leadership within a matrix organization structure. * The ability to work with minimal supervision, setting clear targets and deliverables to ensure the achievement of Project goals * Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers * Experience of dealing across country boundaries and cultures * Passion and drive to deliver, "must do" attitude. * Flexible and forward thinking, able to lead and operate effectively in a period of organisational expansion. * Experience of and commitment to the effective implementation of equal opportunities and CSR policies. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Commitment to working as part of a team * An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment * Experience on SAP (desirable) * Engineering and Design Qualification or have equivalent level of experience.
