We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Finance team as a Operational Accountant based at our Worksop Support Centre. This is a great role for a newly qualified Accountant. As our Operational Accountant you'll be part of a Finance power duo, supporting a specific function with financial advice and analysis alongside our Finance Manager. By working cross functionally you will help to support the operation by keeping controls and processes in place, ensuring the financial information given provides the right basis for decision making. Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve: * Ensuring that rigorous controls and processes are in place to safeguard business assets and maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting, and that these are adhered to. * Timely review of accruals and prepayments utilising knowledge from relevant accounting standards. * Providing a link between the financial control team and the wider finance team for financial accounting matters. * General ledger reconciliations and appropriate analysis on a periodic and ad hoc basis. * Providing a support service to other Finance areas and with the wider business through the appraisal and analysis of financial performance and the implementation of best practice. * Supporting in the delivery of key financial measures including the year end audit, statutory accounts and changes in accounting standards. From you, we need you to have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in finance and a professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA. If would be great if you've worked in a large Retail/FMCG environment too. We also need you to have excellent excel and analytical skills with an ability to manipulate complex data sets.
