This is in addition to our deep pipeline of clinical stage cannabinoid product candidates under development for both orphan and non-orphan indications with a particular focus on neurological conditions. In the UK we have close to 750 employees from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines based on four sites in Cambridge, Kent, London and Andover, along with employees working in the field. We also have a strong presence in the U.S. with around 250 U.S. employees, based both in Carlsbad, CA and in the field. ABOUT THE ROLE: The role of the Senior Manager, R&D Program Management Office (R&D PMO) is to provide tactical and operational leadership to the R&D PMO staff who support individual project development teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the coordination of all project aspects including timelines, budgets, and scope. This person will promote and ensure cross-functional coordination of all project management activities and foresee key interdependencies and partner with Global Product Leaders. Responsibilities: * Provide strategic and tactical leadership project development teams. * Lead and support the definition, creation, documentation and maintenance of Project Management standards & processes * Promote the use of best practices with the PMO * Contribute to the creation and maintenance of systems/databases for the purpose of tracking, reporting and improving decisions regarding project performance, interfacing closely with the corporate IS ecosystem * Ensure consistent application and knowledge of project management methodologies, processes and tools across the function * Promote cross-functional transformation across product teams Position Requirements * Bachelor's degree in science or a business-related field is required; Advanced degree in science or a business-related field is preferred * Professional certification with a Project Management Institute (PMI) is desired * 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences * 4+ years of recent experience as a project manager leading complex pharmaceutical projects in a multi-disciplinary, global environment isstrongly preferred * Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate orally and written, and present key information to senior leadership * Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail * Able to develop strong partnerships and successfully operate in a matrix-based organization while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders GW's VISION: Unlock the potential of cannabinoid science to transform the lives of the patients and their families GW's MISSION: Lead the world in developing and commercialising regulatory approved cannabinoid medicines, putting patients first Our efforts are guided by several fundamental values.
