Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medicine for the Elderly and we require an experienced HCSW with a genuine interest in caring for the older person to join our team. Previous Band 2 hospital experience essential. Ward 32 is an Acute Medicine of the Elderly ward with a commitment to multidisciplinary team working. We specialise in caring for patients with delirium and dementia. SVQ level 3 is desirable but if you don't possess this you must be prepared to work towards this. The extended clinical skills required for this post are; venepuncture, cannulation, performing ECG's and catheterisation. Hours will be worked to suit the needs of the service; including rotation onto night duty.
