Job Description
Do you enjoy working in a busy customer service call centre/helpline? Would you like to use your telephone and communication skills to help those affected by sight loss? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Peterborough Helpline Advisor team. The RNIB is the leading UK's sight loss charity, where we help blind and partially sighted people thrive. Our helpline service advises those affected by sight loss and 3rd parties (i.e. friends, family and health and social services) on a range of services, products and reading materials, including our digital Talking Books service; a free service that provides blind and partially sighted people with access to over 23,000 titles. Full training on our products and services will be provided. Using your excellent communication skills you will make a positive impact and genuine difference. Your day to day activities will include dealing with inbound calls, supporting customers with buying products and assisting with Talking books, signposting to appropriate services and ensuring customer satisfaction, including complaint handling. Key to this role will be your excellent telephone manner, effective verbal and written communication skills, good knowledge of computerised sales/service operations and a good knowledge of Word and Excel.
