Job Description

What's involved? * Planning and organising fundraising events. * Attending meetings with other core VFG members. * Researching local information and opportunities for further fundraising. * Helping to promote fundraising activities. There will also be opportunities within the fundraising group to take on areas of further responsibility, such as group leader or treasurer. This role will suit you if you... * Are friendly and enthusiastic. * Enjoy fundraising and being part of a team. * Are looking for a new challenge. * Are passionate about uniting against dementia. The impact you'll make... Together we will make sure everyone who needs support gets it, while we work towards a cure. Your support will help make Merton, Croydon and Sutton Dementia Friendly by raising awareness. Money raised from your Volunteer Fundraising Groups will help make sure we can be there for everyone affected by dementia. It will go towards the delivery of National Services that include our website and Dementia Helpline, as well as the services we provide locally such as Singing for the Brain® and Side by Side. It also helps to fund research into care for today, and cure for tomorrow, as well as our campaigning work. What's in it for you? This role will provide you with an opportunity to meet new people and be part of a team, to make a difference in your local community. You will be able to take part in a range of training, develop new skills and develop fundraising events experience. You will have a dedicated Community Fundraiser who will be on hand to support you with your role. They will be able to provide resources, respond to questions & queries, send updates and news from Alzheimer's Society. Information about the application process Interested? This is a new group.
