An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation - our client (a leading, global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Lipton, Persil & Vaseline!) are currently looking for a Category Manager based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 Months, working a 36.25-hour week, paying £40,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Some occasional domestic travel may be required as part of the role. Role Background In this role you will have the responsibility to own and develop the tea category development strategy and to ensure the category strategy is future fit. In this role you will deliver best in class category and shopper insights to our retailers and our business, developing strategies, solutions and recommendations to grow the mutual businesses sustainably. Key Accountabilities * To be the expert in the tea category, lead retailer relationships, embed category growth drivers and ensure product range across the tea category is future fit in a world of optimisation. * Build strong relationships with retailers and actively work with retailers to understand/achieve their category objectives, the role of the tea category in their business and their decision-making process - all underpinned by actionable insight. * To build a strong connection with the Customer Marketing Insight (CMI) team to facilitate understanding of category through data and insight * Consult and challenge the Category Strategy and execution to ensure category is future fit * Become a leader in category promotions across channels with the view to build the 'Perfect Tea Promotional Plan'. * Become a leader in Tea category ranging and optimisation. * Embed key process rigour and category strategy both internally & externally. Candidate Requirements * Previous experience of strategy creation and implementation in category management role essential. * Must have the ability to build great customer relationships. * Expert in data analysis and insight generation. * High level of presentation and influencing skills. * Constantly curious and entrepreneurial. * Ability to create plans which deliver for our consumers. * Passion for high performance - inspire others to greater heights.
