Job Description
PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST Band 6 - £31,800 to £39,169 pro rata Plus £1,074 Distant Island Allowance pro rata 18.75 Hours per Week Permanent Post We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with experience in Paediatrics to join our integrated Occupational Therapy Service. The Paediatric OT service covers the Western Isles from the Butt of Lewis to Barra (a 100mile-long chain of islands) and works with children and young people, 0-18 years old. You will work as an independent practitioner to provide assessment and intervention in the community and in hospital for children with co-ordination, learning, sensory, physical and/or psychosocial disabilities or illness. There is another experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist in the team and you will have close links, professional support and supervision from the wider integrated OT team based in Stornoway. This is a unique opportunity to experience living and working in a remote and rural island community with amazing outdoor opportunities. A clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as well as a willingness to travel.
