Description THG is looking to recruit a Head of People, to lead our site People functions, including HR, Talent and L&D. This role is a critical role positioned within our site leadership team with the specific focus on building our site People strategy, covering the full employee life cycle. This role will also work proactively across the global THG network to build consistency and a centre of people excellence within Omega. Main Responsibilities * Providing a strategic, business-focused People service to the leadership and functional management teams. * Taking site lead for combined people functions including HR, Talent / Recruitment & learning and development. * Identifying, guiding, supporting and advising on the effective people practices needed to achieve our strategic goals * Leading, managing and directing People teams to deliver a comprehensive and excellent People service. * Provide leadership across core site people initiatives and supporting wider business projects as necessary * Devising and implementing a talent management plan which focuses on, recruitment, succession planning, employee attraction, leadership development, succession, engagement and retention. * Measuring and tracking site engagement, identifying areas that require improvement and working with leaders, managers and stakeholders to implement appropriate changes. Requirements To be considered for this role you should have the following Skills and Requirements * Experience of working in a operations / fulfilment / production * Proven ability in establishing credibility and building department accountability * Able to problem solve and demonstrate primarily operational HR skills * Proven experience in being a role model for change and leadership * Comfortable in developing team members and empowering staff * Demonstrates commercial acumen in partnering with the business to deliver commercially focused people strategies * Solid employment law knowledge and proven experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of HR situations * Outstanding communication skills, including able to coach the business in challenging conversations * Ability to influence board members. * Energised and motivated by constant change * Have a proven background in strategic planning and driving HR initiatives. * Experienced at managing change and working to short, time-based deadlines. * Be degree educated, with CIPD level 5 accreditation as a minimum.
