Civil Engineer, Bristol, Aztec West, Permanent, Competitive Salary & Benefits The Opportunity We are dedicated to the design of BNI for Hinkley Point C (and preparations for Sizewell C). We are based in a newly refurbished, modern office on Aztec West in Bristol. The Person Based on RD internal Process of studies, three levels of input data packages are defined within the OH1150, OH1250 and OH1251 contract (Detail CW studies) for each CI-BOP building HM, HF, HT, HG, HOR, HOJ, HY, HP/F, HCA, and HCB. L1: the "Level 1 input data package" shall permit the OH1150, OH1250 and OH1251 Contractor to produce the general layout drawings and the overall structural calculations (stability, main structural member dimensions). L2: the "Level 2 input data package" shall permit the OH1150, OH1250 and OH1251 Contractor to produce the first revision of formwork (showing all the main details) reinforcement calculations and reinforcement drawings showing detailing for standard sections and major singular points. L3: the "Level 3 input data package" input data shall permit the OH1150, OH1250 and OH1251 Contractor to produce the definitive versions of formwork and reinforcement drawings and calculation reports including all construction details. The activities requested for the input data package production are: Liaise with Site Design Liaison Team to solve technical issues. Ensure consistency between L3 Design studies and L2 layout studies. Surveillance of L3 Design Studies. Take awareness of the contractual aspects with the support of the CNEPE Engineering lead of the CW Contract. Analyse the inputs in accordance with the level of the packages (L1 / L2 / L3) and references given to the CW contract (ETCC, UK Companion, ENGx...). Undertake the input coming from the building stakeholders (layout, equipment contracts, etc.) with the support of the Building Civil Engineer or/and the Building Layout Lead. Take awareness of the potential transversal issue of technical assumptions which may have an impact or interface with other buildings. Preparing of input data packages enabling to launch detailed studies. Aid to produce main reports as BDS (Basic Design Summary), SR (Status Report) linked with layout interfaces, DSR (Design Substantiation Report). Confirm / analyse the consistency with safety document (PCSR, BDHPS, etc.). Technical checking identification reports issued by design office (doors, rooms, inserts. Structural elements, finishing, secondary steelwork...).age of advancement of the detailed design studies. The Skills Knowledge of nuclear safety relating to design or operations. Knowledge of the UK Regulations Knowledge of the Civil Work studies and reinforcement creeks studies. Personal capacity: Interpersonal skills, A proactive attitude, ability to prioritise, manage numerous interfaces, to question and understand the imperatives for other downstream disciplines. Dedicated to the HPC Project, integrate the key design processes and Engineering Sequences Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, 3D viewer, Naviswork, CCIS(interface between site & Engineering) Language(s): English, French will be appreciate Functional relations: Interpersonal skills Personal capacity: Conscientiousness, organisation, writing ability.
