Job Description
We are seeking to recruit 0.9 WTE enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologists to a permanent post providing psychology input, half time within Adult Psychological Therapies Service (APTS) and half time within the CMHT. The post will provide a great opportunity to be part of 2 teams providing psychological input across a wide range of presentations. Within secondary care you will be part of a team of psychologists, led by a consultant, offering specialist psychological intervention for a range of clients within the CMHT. Within APTS you will be part of a team of psychologists, nurse therapists and CAAP's offering specialist psychological intervention to a range of clients referred mainly by GPs and psychiatrists. NHS Forth Valley Psychological Therapies Service adopts a matched care model offering computerised CBT and courses in mindfulness and stress control as well as individual and group therapy. In addition to therapeutic work there will be opportunities for consultancy, supervision and service development. The department provides a friendly and supportive environment in which to work with a rolling programme of departmental CPD and is currently doing joint work with MHAIST around the importance of staff wellbeing.
