Tech Lead Us At Danger Farms, we create new opportunities for businesses through digital products and services. Having refined our business over the last 6 years, were now ready to grow in headcount, locations and - most importantly - recognition. Critical to this growth will be a Tech Lead who can advance both our technology offering and our industry standing, allowing us to position ourselves as one of the most forward-thinking companies in the industry. Heres a sample of our last year: Client React.js, React Native, CSS Modules, Webpack, Stylelint, ESLint, Prettify, Cypress E2E testing, Storybook, Design Systems, WebGL, React Native Services Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, Hashicorp Vault, OWasp ZAP, Google Cloud Run, Serverless framework, AWS Lambda, API Gateway (python, golang, node.js) Patterns/Principles Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery, Pair Programming, Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup The Role Responsibilities will include: * Coaching the development team and enabling their improvement by pair-programming, reviewing and communicating often with them * Managing the team to get the very best out of them * Improving planning, estimation, process and development methodologies * Owning the successful delivery of all applications * Helping to craft technical solutions * Evaluating new technology and making recommendations on technological solutions * Reporting progress at regular intervals internally (CEO) and externally (clients) * Helping craft the companys long-term technology strategy, including how and where we can make an impact within the industry Requirements You We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious leader, who has at least 6 years experience and extensive exposure to agile processes and great development practices, and who can take a software project from concept to delivery and further. Youve led a high-performing team before, that has proven itself consistently. We are looking for someone with an abundance of skill and drive, who is a big thinker and a big builder in equal parts. You: * Are a brilliant developer and system architect, comfortable with building complex applications and services on any kind of infrastructure * Know a myriad of best practices, and are able to come up with clever solutions to problems easily * Are constantly thinking about how software development can be improved, both in terms of code, practices and process * Are curious about the business of technology, with an understanding of how products go to market, and what makes some fail and others succeed * Can communicate in both the most complex of terms (where technical language can help understanding among techies) and the simplest of terms (when the relatability of an idea to a non-techie is paramount) * Are interested in other departments and job roles that make up an organisation, and realise that technology is but one factor in the success of most ventures * Have led a team that consistently delivered value to customers by instilling in the team core values like focus, dedication and quality * Believe in the value of insight, and will help build a tech and company culture around data-led decisions Benefits The Offer Youll have the chance to lead a young and talented technology department and be involved in critical business decisions that will contribute to the success of the company. * Salary is on a case-by-case basis dependent on experience * Well mention our intentions right away so you arent left guessing Our perks include: * Flexible Work Culture * Most choose the office first with regular work-from-home days * The Working Wanderer * Try working from somewhere else in the world weve had people clock in from California, Hungary, Spain, Israel and Vietnam either side of their holidays!
