This is an inital fixed term contract for 12 months with a view to a more permanent position thereafter. You'll be joining a team of 26 Logistics professionals who are responsible for managing our Depot network across the country. You will be responsible for motivating your staff, problem solving on a day to day basis and strategically. Each Depot has challenges but you'll have an experienced central team, senior Managers as well as peer mentorship to support you and your Depot; this support will enable you to meet your potential and grow your experience. As our Depot Manager you'll report in to the Area Manager and you will be pivotal in providing leadership and direction to the depot team. Some of your responsibilities will be to deliver the budget and forecast as agreed with the Area Manager and lead the depot operations and admin management teams in running an effective, process-driven and results-oriented depot network. This position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference and be responsible for positive change. Improved and more efficient ways of working are encouraged. Our Depot Manager job is for someone who understands how to motivate staff and is able to efficiently prioritise pressing needs, where there isn't an obvious solution. Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit as would logistics experience but we are open to experience gained in other related fields. You must be able to to work collaboratively and take the lead on projects amongst your peers.
