Job Description
QA Tester Liverpool £35,000 ShortList Recruitment are looking for a QA Tester to join a fantastic software house based in Liverpool city centre. The QA Tester will be required to build and maintain manual and automated test suites, targeting front-end mobile and desktop applications. At least 12 months' automation testing experience is desirable. Responsibilities for the QA Tester: - Working with cross-functional Scrum teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle - Defining and refining acceptance criteria on stories - Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans - Estimating, prioritising, planning, and coordinating quality QA testing activities - Maintaining regression testing suites - Analyzing test results, and logging failures/defects appropriately - Tracking quality assurance metrics Key requirements for the QA Tester: - Demonstrable experience as a Quality Assurance Tester, or a similar role - Demonstrable experience with, and knowledge of: - QA methodologies (BDD especially) - QA tools (Selenium, Javascript, Cucumber, Gherkin, Appium, AppCenter) - Demonstrable experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases - Demonstrable experience with white and black box testing - Demonstrable experience adhering to Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum - Demonstrable experience of helping to set up deployment pipelines - Excellent communication skills - Attention to detail - Scientific mind and problem-solving aptitude - Strong organizational skills - Experience with Git - Experience with JIRA and Confluence Key Benefits: - Friendly, relaxed and creative work environment * Supportive leadership that is keen to see you progress in your career and personal development * Exposure to a wide range of cutting-edge technologies * Work with other like-minded, enthusiastic team members * Flexible working hours and arrangements The QA Tester role is paying up to £35,000 (DOE) and is commutable from Birkenhead, Chester, Liverpool, Ormskirk, Preston and the Wirral.
