Our Electrophysiology and Heart Failure division are recruiting for a Country Controller, to partner with the Commercial Country Leader and Regional Controller, to drive the financial journey of the assigned countries (UK & Ireland), with full responsibility over the P&L. Based at our office in Solihull, the Country Controller will be a key business partner to commercial and finance leadership, ensuring financial compliance with all relevant internal and external standards, driving compliant bottom-line management and overseeing all value creation activities (such as bonus plans, recruitment, payroll etc.) in the country scope. The Controller will need to develop a deep understanding of latest business developments, as well as owning commercial risk and the responsibility to develop scenarios to offset financial exposures. Main Responsibilities + Accountable for the development and the delivery of all LBE commitments during the year (process as well as content). Ensure strong operational discipline for all finance-driven processes across the organization. + Ensure full financial compliance with all activities in scope. + Identify need for data to support decisions and drive the decision making process and partner successfully with commercial leadership. + Provide ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P&L, mainly revenue, margin and operating expenses. Develop mitigation plans where needed to offset risks. + Proactively drive new ways of looking at the results and commitments. Closely collaborate with the regional leadership team to drive value creation through FP&A work and identify specific projects together with the leadership team to further drive value creation. + Take ownership on all tasks that directly influence the P&L and bring the experts to the table across expertise groups and functions and support their understanding. Requirements + The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and a qualified accountant. + Significant experience in a similar fast-paced role, in a corporate environment (medtech advantageous). + Demonstrated proven financial influencing skills at management level, with a track record of strong business-partnering and driving change amongst peers and leaders. + Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis. Advanced Excel user, with data-cube system experience (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.) + A solid level of accounting and compliance experience (e.g. Big 4 or internal audit background). + Passionate about change management. + A team player who works well within a matrix organisation.
