Your new job * Prepare and cook dishes from their ever-changing menus * Assisting the Head Chef with the running of the kitchen * Simple honest and generous British food using local and regional ingredients * Organise and supervise your team * Organise and supervise stock rotation * Ensuring minimal stock wastage * Monitor stock transfers and accurately account for any movement of stock * Ensure dating and labelling of produce is carried out within the sections, in the dry store, freezers and walk in fridges * Health and safety and food hygiene responsibilities * Attending supplier trips, training courses and conferences Requirements About you * A confident and capable Sous Chef * Had formal culinary training * Strong organisational skills * Attention to detail * Good communicator * Ability to work under pressure * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Creative problem-solving skills * Leadership skills * Ideally have own transport due to semi-rural location Benefits Salary and benefits * £26,500 to £28,000 per year plus tips * 28 days holiday per year * Company pension scheme * Permanent job direct with the employer * 25% staff discounts across the business * Full uniform and meals provided whilst on duty * Professional chef training opportunities (e.g. butchery, pastry, fishmongery) * Passionate independent team * Modern state of the art kitchen * Live in might be available, if required
