Job Description

Position at Smarsh Delivery Engineer SaaS Operations As a Delivery Engineer in the Smarsh SaaS Operations team you'll be part of a team building continuous delivery pipelines and practices for our full suite of applications. Manual effort and lead time will be your number one enemy, pipelines your closest friend and your mission will be to drive lead time to prod and MTTR as close to zero as you can. You will work closely with our Development, Quality Engineering, Security, PaaS and SRE teams to continuously improve the timely, quality and secure delivery of both infrastructure and software. You have a keen eye for waste and seek to drive it out of our delivery systems everywhere you see it. Smarsh is growing rapidly, and leveraging high scale data streaming platforms (Elastic, Mongo, Kafka, etc.) to sustain this growth-you'll be responsible for maturing our delivery process across multiple technologies, environments, and locations. We're looking for someone who is excited about modern engineering practices in cloud platforms, increasing the productivity of our engineering teams, and delivering value to our customers. Finally, we need someone with the ability and desire to continuously learn new technologies / processes and take the lead in integrating those in our production life cycle. Technology * Infrastructure management and configuration automation * CI/CD platforms (Concourse, GoCD, Bamboo, Jenkins) * Containers (Docker, Garden) * IaaS providers both public and private (AWS, Azure, GCP, vSphere) * PaaS and/or container orchestration (Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, K8s, BOSH) * Security (Sonarqube, Snyk) * Monitoring (OpenTracing, Datadog, New Relic, ELK, Splunk) * Strong coding/scripting experience (Bash, Ruby, Go, Java, Python, Yaml, Terraform) * Build and distribution (Maven, Gradle, Nexus, Artifactory, Bintray) Additional Requirements * Strong interpersonal skills * Software development background * A can-do attitude * Proven track record of leading implementations of build and release engineering best practices, both processes and technologies * BSc in Computer Science or equivalent * Curious mind, wanting to learn new technologies * The ability to think outside of the box to resolve issues and create solutions
