Job Description
Job Title - Solutions Architect Location - Radbroke This role is working within The Chief Technology Office. The Chief Technology Office is responsible for looking after the technical architecture strategy and vision for Barclays UK. We are looking for someone who can work in a team that continuously sets new standards when developing state of the art technical architectural solutions to satisfy often complex business needs. We need someone who has Digital Channels experience, along with Cloud technology or Salesforce experience, someone who has real world technical design or architectural experience combined with a desire to accelerate our vision to be the best architectural design team in Europe. What will you be doing? Developing technical solutions for a business area that has true customer and colleague impact. Your contribution to architectural decisions will change their banking and working lives for the better through technical designs that are truly based on their experiences. Creating a technical solution in keeping with group strategy that provides a solution for customer and colleagues. Becoming the technology expert to whom that business area trusts to realise their aspirations as to how they can best drive their business forward in helping our customers. You will challenge the status quo; things don't change by themselves, so new thinking is welcomed and applauded. We need you to provide a fresh perspective that not only protects the brand but also re-energises Barclays as a bank with technology at its heart. You will continuously collaborate with teams of like-minded architects, encouraging each other to find the right technology solutions for the business areas What we're looking for: Technology design either at application or infrastructure level that enables you to resolve complex business issues with a simple and cost effective technology based solution. Experience designing and delivering an End to End solution into Digital Channels. Experience of working with various stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation. Skills that will help you in the role: Experience of mobile and internet customer services, ideally in Financial Services Knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers. Expertise in at least one or more technologies used by the bank, specifically Salesforce or Cloud technology. Where will you be working?
