Job Title Solutions and Data Engineering Lead Location Knutsford The Data Insight Engineering & Automation Team is at the forefront of creating a data led Operation, by providing Management Information directly to the Teams and Agents in the Contact Centres. The team supports the business in the provision of modelled data into specialised databases (data refineries) that support the analytic and operational management information teams across Barclays globally including for the Contact Centre Transaction Cycle. These databases are Microsoft SQL Server 2016, with some legacy Microsoft SQL 2008R2 support required on occasion. As a Solutions and Data Engineering Lead, you'll be leading a team within the Contact Centre Technology department responsible for ensuring all operational, management information and analytic users across Barclays can work effectively using the APS front end tool and its data refinery data source. What will you be doing? Driving a high level of technical expertise in the use of SQL and APS the Warehouse platform and the self-serve MI solution Responsibility for the successful delivery of Data Engineering and Automation initiatives to budget and agreed quality and governance standards Owning and driving the effective governance of the Application deliveries, ensuring that technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met Ensuring that the delivery governance framework is comprehensively defined and firmly embedded Manage external and internal supplier groups in line with agreed contractual obligations, milestones, quality standards and SLAs Works with the Project Managers and Technology Delivery partners to deliver effective communications and manages relationships with key stakeholders across the Client base and technical community Manages and co-ordinates all individual Application delivery components, their interdependencies, associated risks and issues Acts as focal point for direct reports with regard to HR and work issues What we're looking for: Experience in SQL Server 2008R2 or later, data modelling, design, development and optimization for large scalable database applications Experience of integration, SSIS design and development of ETL packages OLAP development experience including star and snow flake schemas, multi-dimensional modelling, design and development of complex data solutions Experience in directly managing others Skills that will help you in the role: Experience of working with APIs, Event Handlers (Kafka) and other toolsets associated with Cloud technologies would be advantageous Where will you be working?
