Job Description
Quality Control / Compliance Officer Salary 24k - 28k dep on experience and benefits The Company: Our client is a leading UK based consumer healthcare provider. They supply UK & European retailers with high quality branded & own branded eye & healthcare products. They are looking to appoint a Quality Control / Compliance Assistant at their site near Melton Mowbray. The Role: To provide quality control and compliance support to their labelling, packing and warehouse operations. To ensure that all products are produced to meet the customer quality expectations and are in compliance with the product specification and regulatory obligations. Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: To conduct and report quality control checks at high risk areas of production in line with HACCP and customer requirements To obtain, review and file batch certificates To collate information on batches and generate batch release documents such that batches can be released to market To change status on Order wise to release stock or sale as directed by Technical Director To maintain retained samples for HQEM products To facilitate the approval of new or changed product or packaging components by collating and reviewing relevant paperwork such as specifications, change controls To produce non-conformance reports and Quality Incident Reports relating to production/ warehousing processes To produce Quality rework forms To quality inspect returned stock or faulty production stock and gain agreement on its outcome To undertake regular production checks such as temperatures checking, random job card check, production signs and instructions To investigate and resolve any issue relating to production quality issues under direction of Technical Director / Production Management To ensure job cards are issued in line with relevant BOMS and sign off job cards for compliance with procedures once completed To contribute innovative suggestions and ideas that will enable the business to develop and grow and work as part of the whole business team so that interaction across the Company is realised Act as nominated deputy for GDP related activities under direction or the responsible person. From time to time you may be required to perform additional/different responsibilities in line with your position The ideal candidate will have: Minimum GCSE Maths and English at Grade C. Ideally, with A Level in a Science subject or Degree Experience working within Quality management and regulatory standards Good communication skills Ability to challenge peers and senior management whilst maintaining overall co-operation and goodwill Demonstrate attention to detail at all times Ability to evaluate information and draw conclusions based on facts Understanding of principles of quality managementS Key phrases: Quality Assurance, QA, HACCP, Quality Control / Compliance Officer, Melton Mowbray
