TEMP ROLE FOR 3 MONTHS Job Purpose To audit and monitor compliance against BRC, Quality Management systems and GMP, ensuring that we manufacture safe quality products. To ensure any non - conformance issues are identified and recorded, enabling operations to take corrective action. Supporting the factory with Technical knowledge and advice. Main Responsibilities * Conducting regular GMP and Food Safety audits as per schedule * Implementing company food safety standards and procedures * Run taste panels * Finished product sampling and assessment * Take routine and extra-ordinary samples for testing according to defined schedules * Undertake tasks that may be required by management to assist in the operation of the business * Taking of temperatures, logging of times, weight checks * Identification of improvement opportunities, enforcement and scrutiny of procedures with reference to GMP & HACCP * Daily random and scheduled microbiological swabbing & associated further actions where necessary * Internal audits * Instrumental in actively promoting a safety culture &, ensuring quality & safety standards are met, and products are manufactured to correct specification * To manage and assist with the development of an effective quality assurance system, ensuring that Quality and food safety are appropriately managed to meet set objectives. * Carry out internal audits to schedule including glass, blades and personal hygiene. * Liaise with all warehouses and to ensure that the required standards for food safety are maintained. * Monitor the standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, traceability, allergen management, legality and quality. * Monitor and investigate complaints, returns, weight control issues and metal finds relating to the production factory. Knowledge, Skills & Experience * Experience of auditing QM Systems and GMP in Food manufacturing * Experience of micro-testing * Experience of traceability investigations * Lead by example with regard to Quality and Food Safety. * Be dynamic, assertive and passionate about quality and technical issues. * Operate cross functionally and at different organizational levels in a confident manner in order to deliver a challenging and busy agenda. * Understand, interpret and take proactive action on data and information as presented.
