Memory Walk Events Volunteer

About the opportunity Join us during the day at HAC Grounds, London, EC1Y 2BQ on Saturday 13 October 2018 , or at night at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Saturday 06 October for Memory Walk. With two routes to choose from, we need enthusiastic volunteers to make it a day to remember for our walkers. With roles both in the event site, and out on route there is something for everyone. Volunteers are needed for just a few hours. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but if you are under 16 you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and if you're aged 16-18 you will need to complete a parental consent form. About Memory Walk - Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk sees thousands of people raising money for a world without dementia across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, through a series of sponsored walks which take place in September and October each year. Memory Walk relies on fantastic teams of volunteers to support the running of the event. Volunteers are needed for just a few hours. There are a variety of roles available on event day, including volunteering in the walk village and cheering on participants on the route. Water, snacks and a snazzy high-vis are provided, as well as a full briefing pre-event and on the day. Over 3000 volunteers are needed, so don't delay and sign-up now at www.memorywalk.org.uk! What are they looking for? The role is perfect for anyone looking to volunteer at the weekend, or for a one-off event. Exact timings will be provided nearer the day. Practical considerations Can youth groups volunteer? All youth groups must have a leader (aged over 18) who is responsible for the group on the day of the event. If you are the leader, send us a quick email including the name of the group, how many of you would like to volunteer and the name of the walk you would like to volunteer. You can only register to volunteer online if you are over the age of 18.
