Job Description

We are looking to hire a Test Manager. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for leading all test activities across various project deliveries and responsible for the business processes, functional and technical elements. The Test Manager will report directly to the Test Director but may also be responsible for reporting back to the respective programme manager on project related tasks. Key tasks * Establish a strategy and approach for conducting the test programme, ensuring efficiency, visibility and quality control. * Review and feedback on plans created by the Test Lead for the key test deliverables and activities, working with suppliers and customer resources as required. * Review the approach and plans for specific test phases, including test preparation, execution and closure, and supporting monitoring and control processes created by the Test Lead * Review the environment strategy and plan for managing the test environments created by the Test Lead * Act as key point of contact for all test-related activities across the programme, coordinating across customer, integrator and third party resources. * Assist in the development of business readiness criteria for the individual site deployments * Oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance for the test deliverables * Act as lead and mentor for all functional and technical consultants involved in test activities * Driving test best practice across delivery and implementation efficient and effective test processes Preferred Skills and Experience * Prior project experience as a Test Manager * ISTQB Foundation qualification * Familiar with common testing concepts, principles, approaches, tools and methods such as the SDLC and Agile methodology * Leading a team and working with defined planning and control processes * Strong communication skills with staff and customers at all levels, including listening and providing answers * Strong problem solving skills * Experience of working with third party suppliers * Experience of working in cross-functional teams, composed of System Integrator, Supplier and customer * Familiar with systems development lifecycle * Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions * Experience with Point of Sale and Back-office systems Desirable Skills and Experience * An ISTQB Intermediate Qualification * Understanding of quality management processes, including assurance * Project management experience, preferably in a retail environment * Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions * Experience with Point of Sale and Back-office systems, preferably in a design or test capacity * International work experience
