Your role in our mission In a nutshell, we're on the lookout for someone who is passionate about Product Design, is comfortable working at speed and loves collaborating with colleagues. If that sounds like you, read on! At SF, you'll have some big challenges on your plate. These challenges are aimed squarely at our mission and they're challenges for which we don't know the answer - the dream for every Product Designer. We're looking to test entirely new concepts, succeed where others have failed, help people around the world and much more. It's all to play for. As part of the Product Design team, you'll find yourself guiding products from the very early stages of identifying user needs right through to handing over detailed designs to our developers. It'll be quite the adventure but don't worry, you won't be alone! You'll be working with a small team of SF Product Designers - and you're in luck because they're great. The essentials * You are passionate about businesses that deliver social impact, and want to help build a business that delivers a meaningful difference to society. * You have at least five years of Product Design experience, producing world-class experiences for users. * You're empathetic - always seeking to better understand the (potential) users of our products, and crafting features that will bring value to their lives as effectively as possible * You're able to adapt your processes to the situation. You acknowledge that there's no such thing as 'the perfect process' for designing a feature or product; 'perfect' depends on the circumstances. * You're commercially aware. You understand that a business needs to make money to survive and grow - and that your work is a key part of making that happen. * You thrive when collaborating, helping others to bring great ideas and insights to life * You are skilled at creating handsome UI but you know that the most important thing is how the overall experience brings value to the user. * You're a great problem solver - always able to explain 'why' you've got to where you've got to, not just 'what' you've got to * You're an experienced user of Sketch and Invision or you're comfortable getting up to speed with new software like Figma Awesome if * You have delivered world-class consumer-facing products and features before. * You have designed for Android and iOS users * You are passionate about coaching or mentoring Product Designers * You can code, even a little bit What you'll do * You might find yourself designing entirely new products to increase user engagement, crafting new features to ease the move from repaying a loan to starting savings, working with internal teams to improve our core platform and much more besides. * You will work end-to-end, from user research right through to developer handoff - all in collaboration with Product Managers, Developers and other SF team-members.
